  • Creating Engaging Presentations with your iPad: Because of its size and portability, the iPad is the perfect tool to use during presentations. Come to this session to explore the many ways you can project an iPad with available apps and hardware. Bring your iPad and let's ditch the chart paper! You'll leave with a list of apps and ideas for incorporating them in your presentations wirelessly, on multiple devices and with cost-effective measures.
  • The World at Your Fingertips: Using Web Tools to Increase Student Engagement, Engage the 21st century learner and use the web to get student feedback...without purchasing a thing! In this workshop, participants will explore web tools such as Padlet, Answer Garden, Poll Everywhere and Diigo to enhance student engagement. These free tools can be geared toward any classroom or content area
  • Google Drive Basics: Gathering information has been made simple! With Google Docs you can: organize documents online and stop taking your flash drives home, share files with co-workers, survey parents and collect data easily and promote peer editing. Join us as we get organized the 21st century way. Participants should establish Google accounts before this session.
  • Productivity with Technology: Participants will explore cutting edge technology designed to increase productivity. Participants will explore the use of electronic and digital tools to manage administrative and classroom tasks. Join us as we learn some Office tips and tricks as will as the latest digital tools to make our lives easier as teachers
  • Going QRazy with QR Codes in the Classroom: QR Codes are everywhere, and their quick response potential extends beyond the commercial world into the classroom. This workshop will explore the many ways that QR codes can be used to engage today’s students. Participants will learn how to create their own QR codes, how QR Codes help facilitate learning, and how to create classroom QR code activities. Participants are encouraged to bring their own device (smart phone, iPad, etc.) to this workshop.
  • Weebly Website Development: Weebly is a free and easy to use website creation tool for teachers and students. With Weebly, teachers can build classroom websites and blogs or have students create websites for electronic portfolios or projects. Weebly sites have a professional look and are also mobile-friendly. Participants in this session will learn the basics of building a Weebly site by creating their own website and discover ideas for using Weebly as a classroom tool.
  • Get Your Game On: Game-based Learning is an enormously powerful strategy that will engage students in active learning. As educators realize this it will allow us to design better games and create new learning opportunities for those raised in our digital world. Join us as we look at some of the latest practical applications in the classroom gaming world as see how “gamifying” our classroom can transform learning. Participants will explore using games to deliver content and test/play some game based assessments. Take back some great strategies for embedding digital quizzes, polls, and open-ended questions into your presentations, websites and more.

Take this opportunity to share your educational boards, your favorite pinners to follow and explore strategies to make you classroom more Pinteresting. Are you a golden pinner or a beginner pinner? This session is appropriate for all pinners and is rated PT for (Pinteresting Teachers.
  • Smart Boards: Beyond the Basics: Join us as we learn to create and edit content with Smart Notebook software. Come explore some tips and tricks to make your lessons rock with web links, online games, video content and more.
  • Customizing the Smart Board Experience: Join us as we learn to customize our lessons using the Smart Notebook software. Participants will practice customizing the Smart Notebook gallery, explore free Notebook lessons, create Smart Board games and more in this action packed session.
  • Windows Movie Maker: Learn how to import pictures and videos into Windows Movie Maker to create amazing videos with music and special effects. Make your content snap, crackle and pop with some movies and video clips.
  • Using Primary Resources in the Classroom: Come explore an exciting way to use Primary Resources in your classroom. We will explore the Library of Congress website and some others to find primary and secondary resources that you can use to start discussions in your classroom on a wide variety of topics and grade levels.

  • Classroom Management and Tools for the iPad: Tablets are a great tool for communication, collaboration and learning in the classroom but how do you manage all that technology? Join us as we learn to stay calm and harness the power of teaching with tablets. Participants will spend time exploring apps and activities that make classroom management of technology manageable and even a little fun sometimes.
